I discovered this Taverna last winter. Is next to my home. Since I went to Crete last year, I fall in love with their cuisine and the people. As you imagine I couldn’t let this opportunity to go by.

I took my friends one Sunday afternoon and went. When we got in, the first impression that one has is that you are in the living room of a big Cretan house.
They put us next to the big fire place they have on the right hand. 3 Cretan guys were singing some nice live music.

First they brought us the water, the raki and the fresh bread with olive oil which very tasteful.

Before ordering, we meet the owner. Let me tell you that this guy is pretty funny. He was making jokes with us all the time that we were there. Of course, my friends are very open so we enjoyed him.

Regarding the food, I don’t remember the name of all the plates but I will try to describe some of my favorites: the goat meat with honey, the pork meat with small pieces of cheese, the Cretan traditional rice, the pork meat with oranges (I order this one’s every time I go there)

Well, after this “first time” we went there almost another 20 times 
For me and my group of friends is the cheapest restaurant I ever been.
Every time we stay 3-4 hours, we drink a lot, we eat everything that they have and we pay 12-16 euro/person.

Has a nice atmosphere, good live music and a very good food.
